South Africa and specially Cape Town is one of the best places for activities and outdoor sports.
The list below should give you just an idea what you could do:


- Hiking
Cape Town offers a lot of beautiful hiking tracks, for example around the mountains that surround the city. For any condition and age you will find a suitable track.





- Climbing/Abseiling
For those that are looking for something more exciting there is the possibility to take the direct way down the mountain by climbing.





- Bungee Jumping (outside Cape Town)
Bungee Jump off the world-famous Blaukrans Bridge- the worlds highest jump (216 meters/709 feet)!!




- Mountain biking
There are so many fantastic trails it will blow you away. South Africa is a treasure trove of exciting routes, discovered and waiting to be uncovered.




- Kayaking
Of course the watersport is an essential part of the activities in CT. Why not trying Kayaking while living in South Africa?





- Surfing
While talking about water sports you must not forget surfing. Enjoy the amazing waves around Cape Town! Some great places to surf are Muizenberg, Blauberg and Gordon’s Bay.





- Kitesurfing

Also a nice way to get wet is kitesurfing. The beach in Muizenberg offers perfect conditions for beginners.




- Skydive

You never tried horseback riding in your life? Well, it is time to try it out. Especially if you are riding at the beach while the sun is setting.





2. One-Day-Trips


Cape Town also offers several trips that only require one day. Especially hiking on one of the mountains is a very common thing to do. See below for get a first impression of possible trips:


- Table Mountain hike
The best views of Cape Town are seen from the top of Table Mountain. The cable way takes you to the summit in under 10 minutes. You can also go on a long hike up Table Mountain and enjoy the great view as a reward!





- Lion´s Head Hike
This mountain is located right next to the city bowl and offers a beautiful view over the city and the ocean. Especially at full moon many people gather at the top for a relaxed evening with wine and food.






- Signal Hill Hike
A much more convenient way to enjoy the view of the city is at the top of Signal Hill. You can either hike or take your car and drive all the way up to the viewing point.





- Shark Cage Diving

A very popular trip is shark cage diving where you can swim with a great white shark. You will never get that close to this animal in any other way!
